Hey there, friend! This week, it was like everything I was listening to/reading/etc. all kept going back to a common theme: self-forgiveness. And it wasn't like I had ever consciously avoided self-forgiveness, it was just never on my radar until this week when I got hit over the head with it, which got me to thinking about self-forgiveness as the first step towards self-love (which is something I'm trying to cultivate more of). So today, we're going to talk about the art of self-forgiveness. And I write this as much to myself as to whoever is reading.   I am... worthy. I am... resilient. I am... positive. I am... successful. Recognize them?^ All of these "I am" statements are something called positive affirmations, which if you aren't already using them, you're in for a treat! So whether you've been  feeling a little bit down lately or are struggling with self-doubt and negative thoughts, positive affirmations are just the thing to help you out of the slump. I've been using affirmations is a variety of ways in my meditations, word/wall arts, and even phone backgrounds. Right now, my favorite affirmation is: Every day, in every way, I am getting/becoming ______ and ______ (even if it's just one cell at a time). Welcome, my lovely readers!  Have you ever found yourself feeling down in the slumps for no apparent reason?  Maybe you're having a rough day or week, and nothing seems to cheer you up. We've all been there, and it's completely normal to feel this way from time to time. But we can't stay there, and the faster we're able to work through the slump, the more resilient we become.
